Greek Dictionary Elite App Reviews

Its definitely a good app to learn Greek language. Basic words are split in categories that can help tourists to master few words. But flashcards are not saved into the app after 5 minutes. That is really disappointing because I just bought the app for $4,99. Also, you cannot order your flashcards and do tests based on your categories, you have to use the really hard tests. Please correct this soon!!

This is a very fun learning tool. Makes a game out of learning new words. I like the new version because the answer shows up brighter. My wish for the future: for learning Greek it would be better to always chose the most standardly used definition. Not the most obscure one! Also, its nice to hear the Greek words pronounced! Thank you for adding the pronunciation of the Greek words. I use this tool to learn Greek, not English. More useful, everyday Greek phrases would be great.

It is very helpful app

This is an amazing app. for every level and language skill. This app has given me the ability to expand my Greek language skills to a very formal level. The combination of dictionary and translator alone make this app worth the investment add to this the word(s) of the day, the multiple choice game etc...if your serious about the Greek language download it!

Scan function doesnt work well. Stick with the free App its virtually the same. Paid version is a rip off. The app developers arent even Greek it appears.

ok ignore my last review when you purchase the pro version it is downloaded as a separate app so it seems like you had an empty download and nothing works but if you look through your downloaded apps you will see the icon twice. you need to remember which one pro and it will work great

Love this App but there is too much British English in translations. Would like to see a version more suited for the north America.

This has a decently large number of entries, but too many of them provide obscure or uncommon translations of what should be ordinary words. There are also often far too many alternatives provided, with no indication of usage for each one. And be sure to use correct accents when looking up Greek words, otherwise you will not find what youre looking for. All that said, its a good effort and among the few really useful Greek-English dictionaries for iOS for someone who has a decent grasp of grammar and syntax but needs to build vocabulary. Four stars for that, which would be three if there were any competition.

Great app, has some games, word of the day ect. Very cool.

Great little app for very little cash. It has quickly become my go to translator in a market swamped with poorly designed copies.

My only criticism is that there is no gender identification for nouns. Problematic if you are trying to translate accurately, not just word to word. Fix this please!

Why do nouns not include the gender? This seems like an obvious and necessary feature any language dictionary should have.

This is the best of the Greek dictionary apps. Im living in Athens for the year and use it all the time. Note that it is English, not American, so some of the English requires further translation if youre from the US. (Minor inconvenience for such a useful tool.) The new phrase book is useful, both as a resource and as a study aid.

Simple to use with word of the day that help increase your vocabulary

This is an excellent App. It does everything it claims. I upgraded to the full paid version and have not regretted it. Ευχαριστώ πολύ καλά !

Great app. Especially like the random flash cards. I wish it had genders and verb conjugations.
